Make sure you have high security or resistant glass windows, and sliding doors

If you have many windows, make sure that you secure each one in more than one spot.

If you don’t have the financial means for an alarm system, at least post a sign or sticker that will indicate that you do have one, 80% of the burglars will be intimidated by it.

Let your neighbors know that you will be away, this can be helpful in case of suspicious behavior around your premises.

Put an automatic light in your entrance so it will appear as if there is always someone inside
